A house under renovation
The Oton Župančič Memorial House is undergoing a complete renovation as part of the Župančič’s World project. The exhibition rooms are closed to visitors during the construction and restoration work.
The renovation covers the interior of the house, a new museum exhibition and the landscaping of the outdoor garden with an events area. The physical and digital accessibility of the building will also be improved.
Reopening in 2028
The project is expected to be completed in 2028, when Slovenia will mark the Year of Oton Župančič at national level on the 150th anniversary of the poet’s birth. We will then welcome you again to Župančič’s Bela krajina and the world of Ciciban.
Until then, follow the progress of the renovation in our news and events outside the house in the events calendar.
