We have gathered answers to the questions visitors ask most often. If you can’t find an answer, write to us or give us a call.
Where we are
The Oton Župančič Memorial House stands in the centre of Vinica, a town on the Kolpa river in the far south of Bela Krajina. The road from Črnomelj leads to us, and there is a border crossing with Croatia right next to Vinica.
By car
To reach Bela Krajina from central Slovenia, take the Dolenjska motorway past Novo Mesto, then continue through Črnomelj towards Vinica. The house is located right by the main road through the village, so you cannot miss it.
By public transport
The nearest railway station is in Črnomelj. Intercity buses run from there to Vinica; check the timetables with the bus operators before departure.
On foot and by bike
Vinica is a popular starting point for trips along the Kolpa. If you are already staying in the town or travelling along the river, the Memorial House is just a short walk away.
Accessibility
The Memorial House is undergoing comprehensive renovation as part of the Župančičev svetproject; the renovation includes improving the building’s physical and digital accessibility.
